How do I set up my Raffle item?

Required:

  • Item Name
  • Item Number
  • Item Type: Quantity
  • Status (Active if you are selling online and Invisible if being sold by a volunteer through the Butler)
  • Closing Time
  • Purchase Price
  • Limited Quantity (Yes or No) Enter Yes if you have a limited Quantity or No if you have an unlimited amount available.
  • Quantity (If limited enter the number available)

Optional:

  • Enter in FMV (It's important that the FMV equals the ticket price so the system does not indicate a possible tax-deductible amount for the purchase of a raffle ticket. The purchase of a raffle ticket is not a charitable contribution and is not tax-deductible. The IRS considers a raffle ticket to be a contribution from which you, the nonprofit organization will benefit)

Quantity for Price

  • Allows you to have different quantities at different price levels.
  • If you only have 1 price level, only add 1 quantity with the price.

EX: 1 for 50, 3 for 100, 5 for 150

How do I sell my Raffle Tickets? Review three ways below.

  • Volunteers can sell the Raffle tickets through the Butler under the "Add a Live Bid/ Multi-Sale/ Silent Bid" section. Set your Raffle item to invisible and sell them through the butler. You can hand Tickets out at this time.

            Launch Butler:

  • Go to the butler or find the URL to the butler under Software Settings >Auction Settings > Butler Settings and enter your event id and the password you use to get into your admin account. See screenshot of the butler Add a Bid / Multi Sale Section below

    #2 Option

  • Selling Raffle Tickets online or on mobile devices without tickets being handed to guests? Set up your raffle item and set it to a status of “active” for purchase online or via cell phone.
